The LHL is a cooperative open research and education team whose activities are focused on a wide range of topics in legal heritage. 

The activities undertaken in the Lab are mainly funded by the Jagiellonian University’s Strategic Excellence Initiative Programme. In addition, legal heritage, as a priority research domain, has been identified in the Strategy for the Development of the Legal  Discipline Board, as adopted by the Jagiellonian University’s Council of the Legal Discipline Board.
